Forget About Google And Apple, The Future Of Television Is Facebook Read more: 


Very interesting article considering the membership numbers that Facebook is getting. In Africa South Africa is at just under 4 Million Facebook users, the question for us as TV producers is 'Would the Y generation rather watch content on Facebook and if not what are we doing to make sure we keep eyeball's on TV'? 

Content might be King here as it is unclear on just when Facebook will be able to partner with local content providers however what is key here for this generation is watching what they want and when they want it. And the digital world is bringing that to them.

Whether the broadcasters can keep up is another question altogether...
